Distance Key: 1 Length = one end of the pool to the other (25 yards) 1 Lap = 2 lengths or down & back (50 yards) 1 Mile = 35 laps (1760 yards) GOAL = 100 miles (176,000 yards or 3,520 laps) Yards swam divided by 1,760 (1 mile = 1,760 yards) Swim aids such as snorkels, fins, paddles, pull buoys and kickboards are acceptable to use. 2 miles per week = 100 miles in 50 weeks 3 miles per week = 100 miles in about 33 weeks 1 mile per day, 5 days a week = 100 miles in 20 weeks

    If you haven’t dipped your toes in the new District 197 Aquatic Center, summer is a great time to visit. Enjoy the quiet, weather-proof, uncrowded lanes of our lap swim and let the kids take over the outdoor pools for the summer! Adult lap swim is open for anyone ages 18+ who can swim 50 yards continuously. This is a non-instructional, swim at your own pace opportunity. Registration is required as space is limited. Requests for cancellations/refunds must be received by our office 7 days prior to the first class session. A $10 service charge will be applied to your refund.     Our Driver’s Education program is offered in partnership with A+ Driving School. The course is approved by the State of Minnesota and meets all requirements for training anyone under the age of 18. The course fee includes: 30 hours of classroom instruction Six hours of behind the wheel instruction. Participants missing a class must wait for the next session to make up missed time on the same day that was missed. For example if you miss day 3, you must make up day 3 to ensure the topic you missed is covered.     197 Virtual: District 197 Summer Driver's Education

    Our Driver’s Education program is offered in partnership with A+ Driving School. The course is approved by the State of Minnesota and meets all requirements for training anyone under the age of 18. The course fee includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel instruction. For the virtual classroom series, you must attend by logging in to the live broadcast at class time each day on a device that has the ability to be seen as well as heard for the entire class time. Please provide participant's email address during the registration process to send the meeting invite. This email needs to be accessible from the device being used. Participants missing class must wait for the next session to make up missed time--you must make up the same day that missed, for example of you missed day 3 of class you must make up day 3 of the next session.   • 2024 Warrior Track Walking Pass

    If you prefer to walk, jog or run on a track versus residential streets or sidewalks, this is a great opportunity to get your exercise in. The Two Rivers Warrior Track is available for community use with a paid walking pass. Note: Track availability varies. Track pass users will need some flexibility, accessing the track only when it is not in use by District 197 programming and activities. Review the track use policy below: The Warrior Track pass may be used Monday-Sunday between 6 am-9 pm, but only when it is not in use by District 197 programming and activities. Our programming and activities vary based on curriculum, weather, unpredicted rescheduling of events, and district holidays. Shared use while school programming is running is not allowed. Community walkers must vacate the track anytime District 197 sponsored activities are occurring, even if the track area is not in use, so programming can run safely without distraction. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in deactivation of your walking pass. For the safety and security of students and our facility, athletic and activity schedules are not posted for the public. The track will be closed for the season after the first snowfall. It will reopen in the spring when the snow has melted, and there is no future snow predicted. Note: This pass is only good for the track portion of Warrior Field. Use of the turf field is not allowed. Absolutely NO pets, food or glass is allowed inside Warrior Field. Wear appropriate walking shoes. Step 1) Register for your walking pass. You can do so online here, or call 651-403-8520 to complete the registration process. Step 2) After you have registered, email facilities@isd197.org or call 651-403-8520 to request activation of your access card. Access cards can take up to 72 business hours to set up. Step 3) Once your card is activated, you will be contacted to schedule a pick up time. Access cards will not be mailed. Staff hours vary: please do not stop in for card pick up without previously verifying an appointment time.

Online students prep for the ACT at their own pace and around their busy schedules. Instruction is pre-recorded and provided online via videos and slides. Simley has scheduled their in-school ACT test open to 11th graders for March 12, this class will help you prepare for it.

Invite your family to a fashion show on the last day to show off your creations. Bring a beverage and nut-free snack every day.

Come and explore new toys, sing songs, and enjoy other fun activities led by a Parent Educator. This will also be a time to meet other parents and their infants. No pre-registration is needed. You are welcome to participate in any or all classes.

    Baseball DASH Sports Summer Baseball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Baseballs and bats are provided. Baseball Tykes Looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports baseball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
